The Adams society hosts a selection of mathematical talks throughout Michaelmas and Easter Term. Recent speakers have included many famous mathematicians such as Fields Medallist Timothy Gowers and Lucasian Professor Michael Green.
Admission to talks is free for members of the university. Refreshments are served in the foyer half an hour before each talk.
Our talks usually take place in the Fisher Building, St John’s College (view the map).
There is the opportunity to join the speaker and some members of the committee in St John’s Hall after the talks. A form where you can easily sign up to dine in hall if you are not from St John’s should be included in the email for each talk (these can be received by signing up to the mailing list). Alternatively, feel free contact a member of the committee if you would like to book a ticket.
Abstracts from previous talks for each year can be found in the archived events listings at events.
